This was one dream commissions. 5 flights, 4 countries and almost 4 days later I arrived on the breathtaking Cook Islands, where I stayed for a month. The islands are highly vulnerable to climate change impacts, and the community also faces many socio-political challenges. The brief was to document the lives of people who used the services of IPPF a global healthcare provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. Out of this was born many fascinating stories - in particular of the fight for LGBTIQ rights. Homosexuality still remains illegal on the islands.
