On my travels I spent a month on Koh Tao in Thailand realised how popular Muay Thai boxing is! So many foreigners and locals alike flock to this tiny tropical island to learn the art. It teaches this ancient discipline known as the “Art of Eight Limbs”. The sport is characterised by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. Muay Thai is believed to have been developed by the Siamese army as a form of self-defence and it can be traced back as far as the 16th century, it was fascinating to document, the dedication of the boxers was amazing.
